Review: I have this film at the San Francisco International Film Festival. I dont usually watch two movies in one day and was tired after already seeing another movie, but Belle me. I enjoyed it very much. This movie would have been fine as total fiction, but since it is based on a true story, I found it fascinating. Set in England in the late 1700s, it shows the impact of slavery on society. The patriarch of the family is the duty of the High Court of England and take on an important case concerning a slave trading ship, while facing the reality of the constraints faced by the bastard cousin.
