As if that were not exciting enough, add to the mix, so I Devil director Ji-woon Kim at the helm, he has all the makings of a great comeback.The Last Stand follows former LAPD detective who is now the sheriff of a small town and enjoy a quiet peaceful life. When notorious drug lord escapes FBI custody eating corvette only thing that stands between him and the border is a small town sheriff who has promised to protect her. The story here is pretty simple, and anyone elses hands probably would have had to throw the film. Fortunately, Ji-woon Kim brings his signature dynamic style which this film is much more interesting visually. This film takes a small step back and move a little slowly first allowing the story to build a little bit, and not just engulfing his actions.
